Every body is wise and everybody has the ability to become their own healer. I support you in one-on-one somatic healing sessions to follow your body’s lead as you gently move through and release stored trauma responses that may be holding you back from living in a state of flow. Together we use Somatic Experiencing and attachment + inner child work to heal from personal and ancestral trauma and create greater capacity for relationship with yourself and others. As you create new patterns within your nervous system, you drop into a deeper presence and ability to experience peace, joy, freedom & connection.

Somatic Experiencing or “SE” is a body-oriented therapeutic model that is highly effective at healing trauma and chronic stress. Developed by Dr. Peter Levine, it’s based on the study of how animals in the wild do not store trauma but immediately discharge fight, flight and freeze energy following a life threatening experience. SE creates the support and containment to allow the human nervous system to move through and release stored fight, flight and freeze responses that may have been left incomplete. The process may include slow conversation, attention to bodily experience and sensations, gentle supportive touch if desired, as well as other interventive techniques. Freeing up stuck energy and blockages caused by self-protective tension, SE creates more fluidity, space, ease and coherence in the body-mind-spirit.

Erin completed the three-year Somatic Experiencing Practitioner training in-person at Somatic Experiencing International and studied in-person with Dr. Peter Levine in his “Eye of the Needle” post-advanced training on healing trauma from near death experiences and altered states of consciousness.
